How to: Add a recurring appointment.
Solution:
Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Recurring Appointment...'. Type the desired information in the 'Appointment Series' dialog box and choose 'OK'.
1) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Recurring Appointment...'. (The 'Appointment Series' dialog box appears.)

2) Click the 'General' tab.
a) Type a description for the appointment in the 'Description' group box.
EXAMPLE: Staff meeting
b) Type a location for the appointment in the 'Where' group box.
EXAMPLE: Conference Room A
c) (Optional) Select the 'Set reminder' check box to set a reminder.
NOTE: A bell icon appears next to the reminder in the schedule.
d) (Optional) Select the 'Private' check box to make the appointment information private.
NOTE: A key icon appears next to the reminder in the schedule.
e) (Optional) Select the 'Tentative' check box to make the appointment tentative.
NOTE: A check mark with a question mark icon appears next to the appointment and the appointment is gray in the schedule.
3) Click the 'When' tab and do one of the following:
a) To make the appointment recur daily:
1] Select the 'Daily' radio button from the 'This occurs' group.
2] Type the recurring days in the 'Daily' group or use the up or down arrow to select the days.
3] Type the effective date in the 'Duration' group (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar).
4] (Optional) Select the 'Until' box and type the date the recurring appointment ends (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar).
5] Select the 'All day' box or select start and end times for the appointment using the up or down arrows in the 'When' group.
b) To make the appointment recur weekly:
1] Select the 'Weekly' radio button in the 'This occurs' group.
2] Type the recurring weeks in the 'Weekly' group or use the up or down arrow to select the weeks and select a day for the appointment.
3] Type the effective date in the 'Duration' group (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar).
4] (Optional) Select the 'Until' box and type the date the recurring appointment ends (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar.)
5] Select the 'All day' box or select start and end times for the appointment using the up or down arrows in the 'When' group.
c) To make the appointment recur monthly:
1] Select the 'Monthly' radio button in the 'This occurs' group.
2] Select the recurring day from one of the radio buttons in the 'Monthly' group.
3] Type the effective date in the 'Duration' group (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar).
4] (Optional) Select the 'Until' box and type the date the recurring appointment ends (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar).
5] Select the 'All day' box or select start and end times for the appointment using the up or down arrows in the 'When' group.
d) To make the appointment recur yearly:
1] Select the 'Yearly' radio button in the 'This occurs' group.
2] Select the month and the day for the recurring appointment in the 'Yearly' group.
3] Type the effective date in the 'Duration' group (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar).
4] (Optional) Select the 'Until' box and type the date the recurring appointment ends (or click on the down arrow to select from a calendar.)
5] Select the 'All day' box or select a start and end time for the appointment using the up or down arrows in the 'When' group.
4) (Optional) Click the 'Attendees' tab to select attendees for the appointment.
NOTE: The system must be connected to a network to invite attendees.
EXAMPLE: Select the entire department staff from the mail system to add the meeting to their schedules.
5) (Optional) Click the 'Notes' tab to add notes to the appointment.
EXAMPLE: Everyone must attend this meeting.
6) Click 'OK'
